About Lori

Lori B. Sanford, Esq., M.B.A., has worked tirelessly to help litigants resolve their disputes by providing skilled mediation and arbitration services.

What distinguishes one arbitrator or mediator from another is the skill set that is brought to the table and whether the neutral is effective in resolving disputes. Ms. Sanford has been successfully mediating and arbitrating disputes since 2009 after a career as a trial attorney.  When the pandemic hit, Ms. Sanford jumped on Zoom and has been going remote since March 2020.

Ms. Sanford is an attorney with more than 30 years of legal experience. Lori was an insurance defense litigator and senior trial attorney in Los Angeles and New York.  In recent years, Lori switched sides to work for the Plaintiff’s bar.

Having spent almost every day in court as a trial attorney, Lori firmly believes that mediation or arbitration is a more cost effective and time efficient way to resolve disputes. Mediation and arbitration puts the control over the result of a dispute back with the interested party and not with a jury.

Ms. Sanford earned a B.A. from the University of California at San Diego, a J.D. from McGeorge School of Law, and a M.B.A. from La Sierra University Zapara School of Business.  She is admitted to practice law in California, New York, and Connecticut.

Ms. Sanford is a Board Trustee for the Desert Bar Association and chair of the Mediation panel.  Ms. Sanford serves on numerous court panels and voluntarily administers the First Friday Voluntary Settlement Conference program for the Court.  Lori received mediation training from the Pepperdine University School of Law, Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution.  She is a past member of the Warren Slaughter-Richard Roemer Chapter of the American Inns of Court.

Ms. Sanford administered a medical office for over 16 years and administers a medical equipment leasing company.

Lori enjoys working with people of all backgrounds and interests.
